Transcription from Edward Russell Ayrton’s chapter on “The Suneh, Middle Fort and Deir” from the Egypt Exploration Fund’s 1904 excavation memoir for Abydos. Naville’s text in the EEF brochure is addressed to “American Subscribers” and includes a reprint of an article on Abydos published by Whittemore in 1914. Folder also includes a plan of the “Great Pool and the Tomb of Osiris” extracted from Naville’s excavation report for the 1913-1914 season at Abydos, which appeared in The Journal of Egyptian Archaeology.
