Biographical history

"He is well known to the Byzantine community for his restoration work, first at Hagia Sophia in Trebizond, and then for Dumbarton Oaks in various campaigns of the 1960s and 1970s in Cyprus. With his wife June he worked with Ernest Hawkins at St John Chrysostomos at Koutsovendis, at the Enkleistra of St Neophytos, and the Panagia Phorbiotissa at Asinou, then as director of the work at the Panagia tou Arakos at Lagoudera and the churches of the Panagia Amasgou and St George in Monagri 1970-1974.
