Description

Contains vintage prints and contact prints and were likely personal photographs taken by Whittemore during the EES excavations at Amarna in the 1920s. Several photographs depict Whittemore (2012.0002.0086-.0088 and 2012.004.0001) standing in the verandah of the southern expedition house and mounting what appears to be a donkey (2012.0002.0090-.0091, 2012.004.0002, and 2012.0002.0178). Other photographs depict members of the EES excavation team from the 1923-1924 season: F.G. Newton (field director), S.R.K. Glanville, and Walter Emery (2012.0002.0092-.0097).
