Historia archivística

Origen del ingreso o transferencia

In 1985-1986, the Byzantine Photograph and Fieldwork Archives initiated a project to duplicate the Kurt Weitzmann photographic archive housed in the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University, with Weitzmann's permission. The project was completed in 1990-1991 with grant funds provided by the J. Paul Getty Trust. The original photographs were photographed in situ at Princeton by photographer Benjamin Lourie. Dumbarton Oaks printed photographs from Lourie's negatives; these prints constitute the materials in the collection.
