Description and Other Notes

Description

The mosaic with the medallion of Saint Thomas was removed from the wall following the Turkish occupation of Cyprus in 1976, when mosaics from the church were looted and sold on the illegal art market. It was returned to Cyprus in 2013 and is now housed in the Byzantine Museum of the Archbishop Makarios III Foundation in Nicosia.
